The 2025 Olimpia Awards ceremony, recognizing the year's top athletes, has confirmed its date and venue: it will be held on Monday, December 22, at Usina del Arte.
This year, the event will be organized by Torneos and will feature two major highlights. For the first time, an Esports category will be introduced—a discipline that grows annually in the country and captivates younger generations. Additionally, among the nominees who do not receive the "Olimpia de Plata" (Silver Olimpia), an "Inspiration Award" will be presented. this award includes an annual scholarship designed to support the winner's development in their sporting career. Both honors will be decided by public vote.
"Esports is one of the fastest-growing disciplines in recent years, and we believe the time has come to integrate it into the awards. We also find it enriching to invite fans of this discipline to choose the winner; it is a way to actively involve them in the Olimpia Awards celebration," stated the Olimpia Awards Commission.
